Latest crafty cardmaking challenge

The latest crafty cardmakers blog challenge, this tested me for the front my mind was totally blank for days, I made the decoupage and the background and had no idea what to decorate the front with. I was eventually forced to make a decision when the latest day to email arrived.

These were the quick cards I made last weekend again at short notice.

Quick make Mans Card

Well I have not had much inspiration this week, been full of cold and generally shattered. Needed a card quickly and was just ready to go to the shop (ooohhhh noooo) when my sister turned up and said get your craft things out I have never made a card before. Well out come some of my things and I made the card in just fifteen minutes, my sister still has never made a card because she talked while I made it. Hope you like it.

Challenge 2 Crafty Cardmakers

Challenge 2 was double colours, I chose these colours mainly because I have lots of papers etc which I can use. I really enjoyed this challenge and look forward to the next one.

I started my card with a blank white square card, again I used papers from "Hot off the press" and cut the green background sheet to size and stuck it on with a glue roller, then the pink and layered it on the top. Next I stamped the image onto a white piece of card, coloured it in using Jelly Roll pens and then cut it out. I purposely stuck the image to one side of the card in order to put the green check ribbon down the otherside. I used a rub on sticker onto a brad and placed the brad at the top of the card. The card seemed to need something else which is why I stuck on the little gems. An easy card to make, any questions please ask away.

Non stop weekend

I am sat updating my blog, Friday and Saturday was non stop, we have emptied our bedroom for a new carpet to be laid and new bed and furniture coming this week (I hope). We began on Friday night and emptied those drawers (the ones that are supposed to be for clothes but are full of my crafting things!!). How many "just in case" things do we crafters hoard. I can't believe how much I have in drawers, I go mad with my daughter for her bedroom being full of junk but I really need to take a look in the drawers I have all over the house. Anyway decided to paint the bedroom walls whilst it was empty, which then led to the skirting boards, the door had to be adjusted. I change the bed, washed the curtains and eventually about six o clock last night the bedroom was back to being as normal as it can be, the clothes are in suitcases waiting the new wardrobes and my crafting things in boxes to be sorted this week. I done the rest of my cleaning last night so today I am going out for lunch and then it is my time to get up to date with me swaps etc. Hope you all have a happy crafting Sunday.

New cards made

A few of the cards I have made, these are really simply matting and layering, take hardly any time to make and are great to keep in for those just in case moments. I have seen me going to the shop for a card because I have no just in case ones made. My OH looks at me as if I am mad and I go to the till and cringe when I have to pay for a card !! Anyway that is my task this weekend to make some cards to keep in for those times. Hope you like.
